Even though I'm supposed to read 5 chapters in "Sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag", I'd rather put more importance on this important matter... the matter of friendship.
How can such a simple issue of "who is sitting with who" for the graduation ball be such a hassle? We don't even know who each of us is sitting with! There's a TOTAL lack of communication between the clan as it is.
Before Classes :
Where do we meet? 4H Classroom.
What happens? Each member's attention is divided among cramming homeworks, tests, and the other members.
Who attends? I dunno... Willard only. Gian, Lance, and I have to deal with "more pressing" matters at hand.
Recess :
Where do we meet? Front Table
What happens? Each member is struggling to get FOOD. Even if we ALL attend, we're not there fully (of the already short 30 mins). Each one has sudden things to attend to after eating and like the classroom, there's no privacy. We're with non-lounge members; how can we discuss sensitive lounge issues?
Lunch :
Where do we meet? NOWHERE!
Tell me - when was the LAST TIME WE WERE ALL TOGETHER AS A LOUNGE DURING LUNCH?!
Fuck it! We don't meet each other anymore. On top of that, the attention is always divided by the homeworks and the school preparations we take with us. How can you give FULL attention to a friend when you have your stupid math and "kuko ng liwanag" book with you?!
Dismissal :
Oh, come on. Do we even leave school at the same time?!
GUYS!
THE LOUNGE IS DEAD!
THE CLAN IS DEAD!
FACE IT! Are we still the "close friends" we were back in China?
With all these, I highly doubt it...
And now... I wonder whether I'd even attend your funerals years from now.

My opinions:
We barely meet as a clan because of the following:
-homeworks that never seem to end.
-during recess, it seems the lunch lines never seem to work with us, thus the long time to get food.
-during lunch, there is no designated meeting place. I suggest we have one. Also, some of us have priorities to do during Lunch.
Okay, here's my two cents on the issue.
First of all, I think one important reason why the clan has been slowly dying is that we currently have more duties and responsiblities than we used to. I mean, you and Gian are part of Stallion, Lance is in debate, and Hart is in YCLC.
