Due to the fact that, to my great annoyance, there are no classes tomorrow and my weekend has officially been ruined, I would like to bring some good news. Sorry if I have to push down the rant post, but this is how I vent my anger and make an announcement at the same time.
Okay, anyway, the official expansion pack for Command & Conquer 3 has been announced by EA. The expansion, named Kane's Wrath, will continue the story from the ending of Tiberian Sun/Firestorm, until the ending of the Third Tiberium War story-arc. Moreover, the three current factions (GDI, Nod, & Scrin) will be split into 2 sub-factions each, Zero Hour style. In addition, due to the clammoring of fans, the GDI will see the return of its hover vehicles, most notably the Hover MLRS (oh shit), and, as for Nod, they'll see the reawakening of the Cyborg army (YES!). There will also be a new mode included, namely the World Domination mode, in this mode, players will be able to conquer the world, one area at a time, similar to games like BFME 2 and Medieval 2: Total War.
Prepare for your ultimate demise GDI, for Kane shall rule all soon enough.
P.S. What's with the word, "wrath," suddenly appearing on different expansions? First we have WoW: Wrath of teh Lich King, and now this....lol

mmmm MLRS-gasm...
The Hover MLRS is one of the most spammable units of all time because it's an artillery unit that:
1)Is amphibious
2)Hits air units and ground units
3)Can fire really long ranges
4)Can squish stuff it hovers on
5)Dirt Cheap.
Also, based on the screens, I believe GDI gets hover Sonic Emitters. Hoo-rah!
I can't still fully confirm if the Hover MLRS will really be included in the expansion. The GDI don't really need another artillery unit with the Juggernaught there. If they were to include it though, I'd say that it would have all the mentioned characteristics aside from being dirt cheap and the ability to squish units.
Hm, yeah, based from the screenshots, it seems you guys would getm mobile Sonic Emitters (how gay of you EA) and some kind of new aircraft. Meh, Nod ftw! Cyborgs still rock. I wish Cabal would come back online.
New planes... new artillery... new ways to beat up Nod.
GIAN!... I need your new toys on the battlefield. Let's kick some ass.
If you haven't noticed my friend, the expansion is called Kane's Wrath. In English, that means it's GDI's ass that's gonna get kicked.
Kane can unleash his wrath all he wants. I imagine saying "Plant the Tiberium HERE!!! Or FACE MY WRATH!!!" or "GDI SHALL FACE MY WRATH!!!" *dies*
Wrath is insubstantial and incorporeal. much like lust and avarice. They're ideas really.
But then again... With the Philadelphia gone and Cyborgs... Kick-ass cyborgs... Yeah. GDI's screwed.
Cyborgs:
1) regenerate in Tiberium
2) Very resilient. They have TWO LIVES!!!
3) They have chainguns of doom.
4) Past development showed... Laser attachments... think mini-avatar warmechs.
5) Think mini-avatar warmechs in squads.
6) they're uncrushable.
BUT
7) They tend to turn against their masters. Think CABAL in FireStorm. Unless Kane's hardwiring them to himself. You never know.
8) Hover Sonic emitters still chop them up to bits.
9) Slooooooow especially on their "Second life"
10) They can't thwack air stuff
11) They still suck against heavy tanks.
12) I'd like to see them resist juggernaught fire.
13) Missles 0wn against them.
I don't think it's just GDI that's screwed; I believe that Nod is as well. As we've mentioned before, Kane is probably an alien using the Brotherhood as a means to achieve his personal ends. So, I believe that the title, Kane's Wrath, doesn't denote a victory for Nod, just a victory for Kane. Plus the fact that the big huge brain blob thingy is probably going to send the entire Scrin invasion force now. Remember, those Scrin that invaded were only a scout force sent to harvest Tiberium.
In other words, we're all doomed! Hurray!
